This Master of Science Degree in Clinical Psychology is the first of its kind in the region. It provides students the opportunity to study clinical psychology in preparation for careers in applied clinical and counseling settings as well as a foundation for those interested in pursuing a doctoral degree. What makes this program essential is that there are practitioners out there who claim to be qualified clinicians and mental health workers without a graduate degree in clinical psychology or a license from a proper governmental agency. The Department will work with the appropriate Ministry to certify this program and grant its graduates a practitioner’s license. This degree will therefore ensure qualified practice of clinical psychology and protect the public from non-professional services. • The mission of this program will be to train Masters level psychologists for work in a variety of clinical settings including hospitals, schools, community colleges, public agencies, prisons, military, and private practice.
